Areas of Learning

All children who attend Little Angels Day Nursery will benefit from a planned curriculum designed to encompass the six areas of learning which work towards Fundation Stage. These areas of learning focus on the development of the child,whilst encouraging high self-esteem and the enjoyment of learning

Personal & Social Development

Developing children's ability to interact and co-operate with others in work and play. Enhancing children's self-esteem and enabling them to become actively social people.

Language & Literacy

Developing children's skills in all aspects of communication: talking, listening, reading, and writing.

Mathematics

Introducing and developing an understanding of mathematics and providing the basics in using numbers.

Knowledge & Understanding of The World

Developing awareness and understanding of the children's envionment, variety of cultures, people and places. Affording children the opportunity to fully explore and experience a variety of aspects in different cultures and to enable them to fully understand the differences they may find.

Physical Development

Encouraging the children's ability and skills through activity and play, both indoors and outdoors. Developing awareness within children, of their physical self.

Creative Development

Encouraging imaginative play and creativity within children. Allowing children to find positive ways of expressing themselves and their emotions through creativity.
